Mastering the golf takeaway is one of the most important steps to building a consistent and powerful golf swing. In this lesson, I break down the 4 essential elements of the takeaway that every golfer needs to understand:

1️⃣ Hand Path Explained – Learn how to start your swing on the proper path for better ball striking.
2️⃣ Trail Arm Role in the Golf Swing – Discover how your trail arm controls width, connection, and stability.
3️⃣ Creating Leverage – Build effortless power and speed through correct body mechanics.
4️⃣ How to Wrist Hinge – Properly hinge the wrists for more consistency, compression, and control.

By mastering these takeaway fundamentals, you’ll set yourself up for a smooth backswing, solid transition, and more powerful impact.

Whether you’re a beginner or a low handicap player, understanding hand path, wrist hinge, and trail arm mechanics will give you a golf swing that’s more repeatable, connected, and powerful.

✅ Watch until the end to see how to put it all together!

As someone who fights a high trail elbow and lead arm above the shoulders, I’ve been trying to do trail arm headcover swings. But your way, pinning it with my upper bicep and peck, not elbow. Does that still make sense with your don’t keep your elbow to your body sentiment here 😅
