In this episode of DRIVE, we head to the Jersey Shore to uncover a side of New Jersey golf that most people overlook. Tucked between beaches, boardwalks, and casinos are some of the state’s best-kept secrets—and we set out to experience them all.

Our journey begins at Ballamor Golf Club, a public course that feels every bit like a private club. From the gated entry to the pristine fairways and greens, Ballamor delivers a first-class experience, highlighted by the memorable short par-4 third and the demanding seventh hole. After the round, we fueled up the right way with a legendary sub from White House Subs, an Atlantic City staple.

Next, we discovered Shore Gate Golf Club, a course that left us in awe. Just two miles from the beach, Shore Gate is tough but fair, with bold bunkering shaped like crashing waves and a layout that demands strategy on every shot.

Finally, we wrapped things up at Pomona Golf Course, a nine-hole track redefining what public golf can be—affordable, accessible, and simply fun.

From hidden gems to local eats, this trip showed us that the Jersey Shore might just be one of golf’s most underrated destinations.
