I was gaming the cobra forged tecs, got fit for a flow set of the Cobra CB and MB. Butter
Just looking at the prices, personally im being priced out of golf. My last set i bought was callaway steel heads in 2016. But over a grand to renew is just over the top.
Srixon ZX5/ZX7 Mk2 combo set for me. Stunning results.
Taylor Made hands down has the worst feeling irons hands down. Srixon and Mizuno would take the sound and feel category here all day.
Cheers to whomever is (also) still rocking FJ DNA’s. One of the best golf shoes ever.
I think the Ping is in my top for looks also
Srixon make the best irons at the moment
Longest carry iron was ping i530
Wilson Dynapower Forged are the best I have ever played.
The plastic badge at the back of the T200 falls off after a few months. A real shame as the performance of these clubs is very good ☹️
For me it is the 2024 Ben Hogan Icon irons, or the Titleist T100 irons. I have found that for me , the Hogan icon irons truly feel so pure when I play them. They have a balanced feel when I swing them, it seems almost effortless. These clubs have a solid sound when struck with a crisp fluid feel through impact.
These clubs along with the Titleist T 100 clubs seem to have a very tight dispersion and seem to be workable in both directions while hitting their numbers in yardage. Just pure enjoyment.
However, I spent several hours getting use to each. Golf just gets better and better. The Hogan's are the real deal ! Plus, they are priced so you don't feel guilty about spending the money as you might with others. Thanks to both the Ben Hogan Golf Company and Titleist for their hard work in truly perfecting these irons sets.
Wilson forged for me…
PXG 0317t would be more suited for this category. The 0211 are the entry level budget clubs.
Still playing PXG 0211 XCOR2 6-GW, cast clubs with some kind of injected substance. How would a club feel any better? $75 a club at the time.
Haven't found an iron that have displaced my Callaway Apex 21s. The Srixon ZX5/ZX7 combo would be my next choice. I haven't had a chance to try the i530s yet.
For the money the Wilson Dynapower forged has got to get a mention! Was it even in the review? A brand that's still so far under the radar in my opinion.
I picked up the previous D9 forged for peanuts and they are a cracking set of irons.
Mizuno JPX923 Forged in my bag
I just had a fitting and these out performed every other configuration for me, looking forward to them coming in
P790 is nasty imo compared to the T200.
T200 are the ones.
Wilson won in all the data
Too be honest, if you didn't pick the Mizuno, I would have suspected that you were on the take! 😂
You don’t seem to have checked the specs. The Callaway apex pro has less offset than king forged tech
I like the PXG GEN6
Excellent video. It would help to include club speed.
I have 2019 p-790 i hit these very well and know my distance .they have great stopping power on the greens with little run out.
Have you tried keeping your left arm straight at the top of your backswing?
funny the numbers for the wilson dynapower forged are the best but you dont even mention it?
Do you have any comment on the MT 86
I play the Callaway Rogue ST pro irons. Absolutely gorgeous, great feel and good distance. Can’t bring myself to change them but do like the look of ping i530 and the srixons Not sure they would help me more though.
Looks like great numbers for the Wilsons at the bottom of the chart. Not a mention. The price was also a great number
I thought the t150 was the player distance iron?
245 all day. Look great and perform even better
I have Sub 70 699 Pros and love the sound, feel and distance I get. They look incredible in black with graphite shafts.
I won’t listen to this video.
i had a set of MP 245's – bought used, and after a couple of weeks thought i'd go in and make sure the shafts were right for me. The shafts COULD have been better (i know this because i got to test some other shafts with the same head), but after quite a bit of testing, i found out the Ping i530's were the club for me. So i traded in. It just hit a little further, and a little more consistently, than the 245's. But no doubt that Mizuno is sharp, but i've played golf long enough to look at performance over looks nowadays. To each their own, go get fitted!
If you’re buying new clubs every year or two then go for the cheapest option. If you plan on gaming these long term spend the fucking money and get the most out of something that brings you so much joy.
The sound of the strike doesn’t come through on the video.
I quite enjoyed your video & appreciate your hard work.
Having said that, I knew you would pick a Mizuno before I watched.
European pro’s do love their, Mizuno & Titleist.
I would like it to be based on:
Consistency, dispersion, height, decent angle, spin, workability & stopping power.
Looks & feel/sound are too subjective; if you can’t measure it, should it fracture in?
