The intersection of golf and culture.
Behind every drained putt or hosel rocket into the stands is a human being with complex emotions—among them, an insatiable appetite for golf. That’s what we’re after. Golf’s humanity is what makes it so special to us. There have never been more reasons to love this game, and we’re endeavoring to explore them all.

are punched greens just aerated greens or something else?
Local courses all aerate at the same time. They book aeration companies that punch each course in succession, so the courses get a discounted rate for helping those companies be efficient. So why do we still pay full price rather than getting a discounted rate? Locals look at the aeration schedule and opt out of playing when the aeration occurs, so revenue drops. If they gave us a discounted rate for two weeks after, we would still play. They could even put in a rule of no putts once you land the green: inside 15 feet take 2 strikes and move on, anything outside that take 3 and move on. Just don’t give us discounted rib eye at the wagyu rate.
