Video Description

As part of my YouTube series “Ten lessons every golfer should know”, the fifth Paddy’s Golf Tip is on putting, which is in two parts.

In the second instalment, I explain how to read the greens, discuss the importance of pace of putts and why the phrase “never up, never in” is useless!

I demonstrate how to use your feet to provide an initial read, how to use the different colours of the greens, as well as the fraying around the hole to read the speed and break of a putt and why aiming high generally finishes closer than a putt hit on the low side.
