Desert Mountain in North Scottsdale, Arizona has become one of the largest golf clubs in the world. Its commitment to honoring the Sonoran Desert it calls home all started with this clubhouse, which serves the club’s Cochise and Geronimo courses. Designed by desert architect Bob Bacon in the 1980’s, it’s one of the most unique clubhouses in golf, and still stands the test of time today. Bob returns to Scottsdale to tour the building with Todd Bruen, the club’s director of construction, to walk through the creative choices that make this clubhouse so special.
