Good review, thanks Joe 👍
anyone recommend what to do for combo set? 770 for long iron or cb?
770’s are exactly the same feel as the previous model and they’ve always had a gap wedge 🙄
I have the p770 2023 model customised to me and my swing (viz shaft, length, lie, grip etc) and love them. Get superb reliability from them and no complaints As my longest iron is a 6 iron the issue of mixing and matching does not really arise. Cannot see what meaningful difference the 24 model would make to be honest and just to comment on another persons comment – tm for a left-hander does not make a gap wedge. Cheers. Happy golfing
The P-7CB looks like a brushed up version of the RAC irons from years back .. the P770 with the speed slot just looks wrong – I hoped TM would have hidden that by now
Maybe I’m biased, but I think these are two of the most beautiful irons ever released. I reallly love the look of the new 770. I can’t stand clubs that are super busy looking, so they nailed it with the 770 and took it down a notch from the 790, which I think is a very nice looking iron and we all now how well they perform and dominate the category. Might just have to move out of my 790 and into the 770. The new sole design is exactly what I’m looking for and why I was very close to getting the mizuno 923 forged over the 790, but I went with TM as I’ve used their stuff for 25 years now. But they just crushed it with these two irons and they continue to deliver some of the best equipment on the course. If Rory didn’t hit that ball in the water, it may have been a Team TaylorMade podium, but hey gold and silver ain’t bad!
