Starting the day five shots off the lead, Sterne carded a final round of 66 whilst producing one of the shots of his life to secure his seventh DP World Tour title, snatching victory from fellow South African Zander Lombard.

Sterne’s previous DP World Tour victory came at the 2013 Joburg Open, where he held off the likes of Brooks Koepka and Tommy Fleetwood in Johannesburg.
