The Back 9 continues on the DP World Tour with an elite field gathered at The K Club for the Amgen Irish Open. Rory McIlroy heads the field, with the World Number Two chasing a second Irish Open title after his victory at The K Club in 2016 and returns to the event for the first time as a career Grand Slam winner following his triumph at the Masters Tournament. Fellow Major Champions and winners of this event Shane Lowry and Pádraig Harrington also tee it up, as does a third Amgen amabassador in Séamus Power. They are not the only major champions that are in the field, as Franceso Molinari, Danny Willett, and Brooks Koepka among others. Rounding out the field’s big names is Luke Donald who is looking to get in a good week before taking on the challenge of captaining Team Europe ahead of the 2025 Ryder Cup.

Man it is crazy how his swing has changed drastically. Very different than 2011. More upright and that club definitely out in front of him. Literally going through impact it’s just noticeably different than what it was in 2011. I wonder what Butch Harmon told him before the masters to tell him what it feels like to achieve that club staying infront.

I don't understand when they are so disappointed or dramatic when they miss a put from over 10 feet-50 feet. They might do 2 of those if they're lucky on a round. The hole is a little smaller than three balls, and they often miss with 2-8 balls in the distance side on both sides of the hole. And sometimes even short with 2-20 balls in distance in short of the hole. And everything is depending on hitting fairways so approaches are possible to get closer than 8 feet from the hole so it's a 80% chance for just one put. It's actually embarrassing how bad professional golf players on the tours are in every average of the game and 90% of the tour players are never going to win and are just filling out the field

Always great to watch Rory but McGinley is a pain to listen to. He continually finishes remarks with here or there (their use is basically superfluous). He is a total dud as a commentator.
