I swing it forward to my left shoulder first, then back. Builds a lot of extra momentum that way.
Did bill Bob already have a great start to his downswing? Please remind us of the start to the downswing using similar technique as used in this video. Include when the hands go hard at the ball if in fact they do.
The course at Grand is beautiful!!! My ball would be going to the flower hazards area ha ha
Thank you again for the great content.
In your setup, do you keep your left and right shoulders in a straight line? Or is your left shoulder a little to the right, for a right handed player?
Would have been good to see Bill hit the ball to show how he improved and if it worked for him
Great tip 👍🏻
Now, what I (and Bob/Bill) and many others suffer from is …
Keeping that LEFT ARM STRAIGHT 😫
Even if I turn the torso (and point that flashlight behind me) I still struggle to keep the width in the left arm (resulting in a narrow backswing)
I think it stems from trying to flatten the left wrist, as many recommend. Seems like flattening or bowing the left wrist automatically causes BEND in the ELBOW, as if the wrist and elbow are connected somehow way.
Look at your picture of Xander & Hovland … at the top their left wrist is bowed a LOT (a’la Dustin Johnson).
Yet, when Piers demonstrates the shorter backswing, his left wrist is flatter (not as bowed).
How do they keep the left arm straight doing that? 🤔
Any tips for keeping width with the left arm short of shortening my backswing? 🤷🏼♂️
Class
Would you do the same drills routine with a driver as I hit it to the right with this club. Keep up with the great content
Good exercise expecially when combined with your previous video on setup distance of the ball.
What i figured out is if you take your backswing to what feels like 3/4 and don't look up early, you hit a nice little ball first draw. Go figure who knew 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Who is he bill or bob ?
🔦 love it

Well done guy's hope you are both well 👍 😊
Who's Bob? Who's Bill?😂
Like the 9-to-9 drill, I'll try that out in the range. Ive been struggling with shallow the club on the downswing, I think it's because I'm not rotating properly, my hands could be leading the take away. I'll practice your suggestions to lead the takeaway with the chest so it rotates and my hands don't get ahead.
Thanks guys, this was insightful.
