As part of my YouTube series “Ten lessons every golfer should know”, the second Paddy’s Golf Tip covers “How to hit the golf ball straight”, which is a three-part video. In this first part, if you have a slice and hit the ball left to right, I explain why you need to learn how to hit a right to left exaggerated hook before you can start hitting it straight.

I demonstrate this in different ways, such as releasing the club before the ball, or practicing from a side slope where the ball is above your feet, amongst others – you need to find which one works best for you.
