I’ve just been reading through all your comments…Thank you all for your kind words, really does mean a lot ❤
Played from a +3 handicap up till 3 years ago. Got injured, and then tournament results started to slide. Mechanically started to get sloppy, and before I knew it… it was year 3 of my skills not reflecting my ability to manage my GOLF.
I understand how you might be feeling burnt out and i resonate with that. If you find a way to light a fire inside you, awesome. Im here to support you. We are of similar ability.
Some suggestions: Look at how Ben Hadden structures his content. I think if you started a series revolved around 3-6 of your favorite tournaments of the year, it'd do wonders for your channel. It will give viewers a reason to be invested into you. Your lessons and grindy practice sessions that are catered to The Open qualifier… then next month you might be trying to address a hole in your game so you can center some playing vlogs, content from your lessons, and positive mental game reinforcement as you work towards tournament #2.
I think itd do you good. And you're a great player. Itd do yourself justice to invest the effort into it and on top of that we would feel invested into your PROCESS.
There is always a door open for you to produce instructional content. But is that all you should be known for? Instructional content is so oversaturated, no offense. Id enjoy it far more if it was more applicable towards you and what YOU'RE trying to address. The other instructional content you produce for US is just some benefits. That's my twocents.
Hope 2025 goes well for you!
Mr Shortgame, Rob Cheney, and Tom Saguto
Good luck. Take some time and find yourself and your passion again.
Dude, I can't wait to watch you play. You're a very likable guy, easy to root for.
beginner golfer here Alex. I've been out with friends, they say i'm not a lost cause but you're lessons help. Good luck out there mate, I know you've got it in ya! get out there and kick ass!!
There's no doubt you'll get your mojo back, Alex. Together with your upbeat personality, clear and unquestionable committment, you'll inevitably do well back in tournaments.
You'll have a legion of fans cheering you on. Most importantly, have fun!
Hi Alex, most of your comments are from men, but I just wanted to say you have helped me a lot with my game and have gone from 24 HCP to 18, I wish you all the best from Canada and will be watching and cheering you on.
Jim Venetos please.
Hi Alex – New challenges create new excitement. Thank you for all your videos and tips and I look forward to more as well as your continued success in 2025!
DUDE!!! What are you talking about??? I spit the water out of my mouth at the start of this video…Don’t give me a heart attack…I need this channel, I need YOUR coaching
As much as I've enjoyed your content over the years, I have to say that I'd advise you to step away, get lessons, and play. Every time I see people try to play tournaments while creating content, it's clear that the game suffers. If you want to get back into the game, then keep your head 100% in the game. I'm envious of the opportunity, though; I have a day job and a sprained wrist- I've not been able to play and it's heartbreaking. able You have the opportunity to play, so play, enjoy it, remember why you loved it enough to commit your life to the game and to instruction, then come back and share! Whatever you do, i wish you the best.
that sucks for you !
Stu Cartwright please!
I have watched your presentations regularly. My game has gotten better because of your tips. KEEP GOING!!! the game is worth the play. Go Alex Go : GO – GO – GO – Alex Elliott!!!! ( sing the last part to the tune of Johnny Be Good.)
I quit every month 😂
yeah, last year was a terrible golf year for me, too. I think I played 9 in may, and never even got a chance to look at my clubs after.
Cool. For me, senior golfers would help all senior player viewers? Ladies? Etc . Maybe good amateurs?
Looking forward to Joining you on your journey
Click bait
Will be god to see you play a few comps your game always looks pretty solid to me you just need to put the work in on course
Hey you give good golf content!
I made a return to the game last year at 52 years old. I took decades away to raise my family. My first round back saw little to smile about, and I shot a 115. Watching this channel, utilizing the tips, and at 53, I am driving the ball from 285 to 315 yards. I am shooting consistently in the mid 80s, and that is just 1 year back! Thank you for what you bring to the game of golf and YouTube.
Alex, in addition to what you’ve described which sounds great 👍. Maybe also get some other golf creators on do a few fun things that make you laugh 😂, if you laugh we will too. Good luck and you will smash it
The problem with the coaching on youtube is that there is too much bad advice. How can you tell me what to do without seeing my swing? There is a reason why Tiger said do not watch vids on you tube!
On golf accademies that I have been to they all say the same. Youtube is full of bad advice cause golf is so varied.
I only listen to Padraigh Harrington and mostly watch others just play golf like Bryan bros or just do club reviews. The short game is easy but the full game is full of diffnt nuances and changes.
Unless you and I work together in person face to face ofthen or by video calls it is just wrong to throw advice to a general audience to see what sticks or not.
Finally, like Chauffelee said, the only thing that matters is the club face at impact and club to path angles. How u get there is irrelevant. Peace.
What you're doing is great already. Anything else you choose to do will just be a bonus but don't get down, you are making a difference. Thank you
I’ve been with you Alex from just about the beginning. I love your videos and am a better player because of you. So, I’m excited to see where this takes you and all of your subscribers like me.
Hi Alex why don’t you have some challenge matches against other utube would love to see you beat Rick or Peter or Matt or even better the good good boys
Alex you have transformed my game. From being the eternal under achiever who edged up to the tee with the dreaded driver in his hand , fearing what was going to happen next (and with good reason) suddenly l’m a longer and more accurate hitter off the tee. From being baffled by fairway woods (l generally avoided using them) now l can pick them out of the bag at will and hit with confidence and accuracy very many more times than not. The big thing is l’ve learned that l know what l’ve done wrong when l hit a bad one and the ability to refer back to what l’ve learned means not having an 18 hole meltdown. The very biggest thing of all though is that in a roll up of mates, when the draw is done my partner isn’t tutting and rolling his eyes skywards having been drawn with me. He knows there’s a good chance we’re going to be picking up the money….and that after all is the fun of it. Many thanks again and good luck.
Oh brother, you’re going in the wrong direction! You’re a bored, burned out swing coach because you’ve done the same thing over and over ( like eating a tuna sandwich day and night for months) and you expect to get out of your funk by working hard at golf? Booking a tournament? What happens if you don’t make the cut?!? What you need is fun to bust out of it in a big way. Take a page from DeChambeau and try to break 59 from the red tees. Call Shiels or Finch and play with them. Stop working at it and just have fun. You got this.
Alex love the content, stick with it. Andy Carter, Danny Maude and Ali Taylor are the coaches I watch.
Been planning to book in with you since Christmas for a few hours tutorial. I got too busy, you know how it goes. Great that you can be so open with your viewers.
Play matches against decent golfers , stroke & match play! 🙏👍
Coach lockey
No lessons Alex, just a few matches against the other youtubers, bullard would get you laughing, matt fryer, finchy etc, you're still young you've time to see which directions best. good luck 👍
Thanks been playing for 2 years I was the worst senior golfer now I can see improvements with your channel thanks👍😁😁
Good luck with the new look channel Alex ,good to hear from a YouTuber that admits their game has gone off I’m sticking with snooker mainly now as I’m pretty good at that ,my golf game is just about gone ,constant draw ,hook and the shanks are never ever far away .Try and get Stephen Hendry on your Channel ,he’s good at golf and loves the game and his channel is flying these days .
Good on ya Alex. I would like to see some sports psyc content eg focus mindset, visual cues etc
