In the third episode of the PGA TOUR’s Pathway to Progression player development series, we take you inside the Amundi Evian Junior Showcase, a 36-hole individual stroke play event at Painted Desert Golf Club and Las Vegas Golf Club. The tournament, is part of the PGA TOUR’s Pathway to Progression junior development program, which aims to further empower future minority golf talent and shore up collegiate level pipelines. Pathway to Progression provides the necessary access, resources and opportunities to diverse players, allowing future generations of PGA TOUR players to succeed.

In addition to the junior competition, HBCU golf coaches attended a summit. A collaboration between Pathway to Progression, the Black College Golf Coaches Association, and the Golf Coaches Association of America providing networking, learning, and collaborative opportunities for HBCU Coaches.

Through the Pathway to Progression program, we aim to motivate and inspire the next generation of golfers from diverse and underrepresented communities. In alignment with our APGA Tour partnership and the Bridgestone Collegiate Development Program, Pathway to Progression will provide a path for talented junior and collegiate golfers from diverse backgrounds to continue their development and chase their dream of becoming professional golfers. The PGA TOUR is excited to provide these enhanced competitive and training opportunities in development in order to achieve greater diversity in golf through increased focus on developing talent from diverse and historically underrepresented groups.
