Saw in person in Prattville, Alabama some years ago how she interacted with the local folks. That is GOLD for event sponsors. She was really LOVED by the Waffle House team there. Huge banners after she had won there for years afterward. Go Lexi ! the signs said. Saw not just in Ala. but in other event locations that many of the great LPGA asian players (there are many) do not work at the local level seeming as much. Players need to do more than show up to play golf. Lexi's earned a life away from golf if she chooses to do so. She will find it's big world outside the golf business world and thrive I predict.

I forbid this. Let Lexi and the media know that I have spoken.

Playing professional golf at such a young age is probably not good for most. Have fun in hs and then college which gives you a chance to mature before being thrown into the spotlight of pro golf.

PRO at 15 ,burnt out at 29. Teenagers are not mentally prepared for the stress and drama of adult pro sports.

Lexi needs to learn that when you smile at the world, the world smiles back.

Is she planning on having kids now? Didn’t hear about that, but I think she’d be an awesome mom.

Lexi has to much class . To say it is because of woke idiots like you announcers that she is retiring. Golf channel is a disgrace.

There’s a boy who cried would situation here. Lexi would deserve a farewell tour but sports fans are kind of tired of 30 year old. retirement tours only to see the athletes return like 5 times.

Sorry, for all her good work, the record shows that she gained distance on the greens by incorrectly marking and replacing her ball. When she was finally caught by irrefutable video evidence, she refused to accept responsibility and continues to live in denial.

Unfortunately, she will be remembered as a player who never reached the hype put forth by her sports management group and the marketing gimmicks provided over the years. She hasn't won for over 5 years, almost lost her card in 2023, missed 5 cuts in her first 7 tournaments in 2024 and of course blew a 5 stroke lead in the US Open. Using the same criteria that would be applied to a player on the PGA she has become a mediocre, middle of the pack player. So perhaps the decision to retire reflects a downward spiral of performance due to an inability to handle the same pressures every player faces.
