The PGA TOUR heads to the Dominican Republic this week for the Corales Puntacana Championship, the fourth Additional Event of the 2026 season. Co-sanctioned with the DP World Tour and contested alongside The Open Championship, the tournament makes its first appearance in July after previously occupying an April date, presenting a different test at the scenic Corales Golf Course. Defending champion Garrick Higgo returns looking to become the first two-time winner of the event, while Taylor Pendrith arrives with momentum after his playoff runner-up finish at the ISCO Championship. Joel Dahmen also returns to the site of his lone PGA TOUR victory, hoping to rebound after narrowly missing out on the title a year ago. The field is further strengthened by top-ranked Germans Matti Schmid and Stephan Jaeger, while Aaron Wise continues his return to PGA TOUR competition following an encouraging T3 finish at the ISCO Championship. More than 40 DP World Tour members are also set to tee it up, highlighting the event’s international appeal. With 300 FedExCup points on the line and valuable opportunities remaining before the closing stretch of the season, the Corales Puntacana Championship once again promises a compelling week of golf on one of the PGA TOUR’s most picturesque venues.
