Rory McIlroy’s comments could point toward a more global golf tour | Golf Today | Golf Channel https://www.youtube.com/golfchannel?sub_confirmation=1
Freelancers (Independent Contractors) ? That's exactly what they are. Surprised the old timer with the white hair doesn't know this.
Rory, thank you for standing up for yourself. You’ve given so much to the tour by your sacrifice and discipline. Maybe you are the visionary voice that the tour needs
You guys want liv player in rider cup they took money to leave and just wants to play majors why blaim Rory for easing down when he's getting older. Fair is fair no liv player should ever be allowed on PGA or world Tour.
It sounds great; Rory deserves all that. However, he's built his career and honed his skills against the very best in the world and had to reach those levels in order to be where he is now. LIV players jumped the line, and basically did the same thing; but many of them stopped that fierce fire that burned when they were younger. Rory had the benefit of resisting that temptation, and wound up as our Masters Champion this year. Rory should do what ever he wants, but he will not be the player that can compete against Scottie S., by playing minor tournaments here and there; I think he knows that, but wishes that he could have it both ways. LIV players wish that too; only Bryson, it seems, still gets up at 5am, and actually practices like he's broke on that tour.
I just hope history does not allow Rory credit for all this stuff because if anything he slowed all this stuff down for too long.
He is preaching what Phil and DJ and Bryson and many others stepped up to establish long before him.
Greg Norman has advocated for a world tour for decades. The whole reason LIV exists is because of the short sightedness of the PGATOUR
