If you’ve ever felt like your backswing is short, restricted, or lacking power — this lesson is for you. In this video, Adam breaks down how to efficiently make a bigger and more complete turn in your golf swing for effortless distance and better ball striking.
We cover the 5 key fundamentals to a powerful, on-plane turn:
1️⃣ Shoulder Alignment – How to set your shoulders to rotate naturally and stay on plane.
2️⃣ Complete Shoulder Turn – Feel the proper depth and rotation without over-swinging.
3️⃣ Lower Body Setup – Use your legs and hips to support a full coil and stable base.
4️⃣ Knee Flex – Ensure accuracy and promote a bigger turn with this move
5️⃣ Foot Flare – The simple setup adjustment that instantly unlocks more rotation.
Connection & Balance – How to stay centered while maximizing your turn.
Learning how to make a bigger turn in the backswing helps you:
✅ Increase clubhead speed effortlessly
✅ Improve sequencing and rhythm
✅ Eliminate casting and early extension
✅ Hit longer, more consistent shots
Watch to the end for a simple drill you can practice at home to instantly feel your shoulders and hips turning together for more torque and power.

Love the idea of coming out to the course more, loved your old on course lesson videos from way back so this is a great change.
Español Please español Please español. Please español Please
Great training. I was opening up because I thought it would help me to turn through but actually its hindering my turn back. Thanks
Awesome explanation of different aspects of the turn, weight transition (or lack therof) and setup checkpoints. also love the diagnosis of your student's swing issue in the beginning. When things aren't working right on the course it's critical to be able to self diagnose and make adjustments mid round. Knowing how the clock works is critical to that.
Honestly Adam it's incredible that these videos can get better then they were previously…but you're doing it.
Can't wait to return to San Diego.
Amazing! Please come to the East coast. I am the first ticket when you come back to Connecticut!!
Fantastic. Great point on knee flex when right hip goes back. And the Pitt stop was gold!
Been traveling in Asia and watching Porzak channel in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and now in Osaka, Japan. Practicing swings in hotel rooms😇….will be back in Cali November 1st…can't wait to go back to the range!
Awesome lessons!🙏🏼
spectacular video – wife giving me a weekend at your teaching clinic in 2026 for my 50th bday – can't wait!
Awesome
Awesome video as usual! But timestamps would be so nice of an addition!
I’ll be honest Adam the index fingers lifting the club up for me is the money move the difference in sound of compression is unreal
Better swing thought? Right butt cheek back or right butt cheek towards left?
Also – with hip bump – just set it and forget it/start your swing or do you focus on keeping it bumped throughout your swing?
Good to see the Pitt Stop make a return… this time in the form of an actual pit stop, lol.
Great great video. Always come back to Adam when my shot is not where it should be.
Adam looks like your swing is very jumpy from the top and a bit handsy. Just my opinion based off what I see.
GREAT JOB GUYS!! Question with the Hip Bump. Should one be doing the Bump first and then the knee flex at setup or vise versa? TY
