Video Description

Next to go under the microscope in our Retro Review series is the Adams Pro DHY Hybrid Iron. First introduced in 2014, this was one of a vast number of utility iron style releases around this period, with the iron/hybrid combination coming very much into fashion. In this video, Joe Ferguson gets his hands on one for just £63.99 from golfclubs4cash and sees if it can still stand the test of time and hit all the shots off the tee, the fairway into and around the greens. Suffice to say, the results surprised him!

► We teamed up with second hand golf club retailer golfclubs4cash to create this video, check out its website for the best prices on preowned equipment: https://www.golfclubs4cash.co.uk/

► Video shot on location at Saunton Golf Club. Visit https://www.sauntongolf.co.uk/ for more information.

Well done, Joe! I was in that situation myself: I was using a Titleist U510, and when hit perfectly, it was great, but it wasn't nearly as forgiving when mishit or out of the rough. I picked up a TaylorMade SIM DHY and it has literally shaved many shots off my score every round! Like your choice, it's very versatile, extremely forgiving, but with a lower profile. I always look forward to your Retro Review segments, as it illustrates that newer isn't always necessarily better. I never should have given up my 718 AP2's (using T100 irons now)!

Really enjoying these reviews of older clubs. New & shiny sometimes is not better.

Still game an old Cleveland Quad Pro 3wd. Can’t justify taking it out of the bag.

Well when I bought a 21° off Ebay 4 months ago I never expected a review of it…..bought it to use specifically on my home course to use in the summer (which may arrive ) as driver/3wood can run into trouble….absolutely love it ….Adam's clubs were superb back in the day and have stayed the test of time and technology…..hence taylormade buying them out and discontinuing their name….they have I believe reintroduced Adam's as a on line brand….not tried it around the green yet….great review…👌⛳👍

This might be one of the most famous hybrids ever made. Adams were the king of hybrids back in the day.

Very good Joe. In the same way I’ve had a Callaway XR 4 hybrid in the bag for the best part of the last 10 years…. Does the lot and nothing has come close to replacing it as yet….

I love watching a great golf swing. That's as effortless as them come. Good for you. Hopefully, one day, I'll get to that spot. Great content. It's pretty cool the way you tested that club, ill gonna do my homework and gather one of those hybrids, I'm a hugh golf club collector, the hardest part of playing a round for myself is which iron set or driver or wedges I'm going to game, I absolutely love it, Thank you .

Still playing a 913h 19*, absolutely love it. Been looking at a driving iron to replace my 4 iron (Titleist cab) and this is a top contender
