Great drill, love the breakdown, personally the mindset aspect of it is the key.

Great tip! That makes perfect sense, I will definitely try that to hit my irons better. Does this apply to hybrids and fairway woods also?

Alex, isn’t is a bad idea for the weight to be going into both heels at the same time in the transition?

Excellent video Alex on how to avoid an early extension move in the downswing. I definitely like the squat move that you are recommending and one that I will be looking into doing. Well Done Alex!!!

Keeping my butt back is easier, the harder part is keeping the head from backing away from the ball on the downswing. Unclear why that happens. Not a steepness issue…any videos addressing that part of extension?

As the course is closed yet again today – wettest Feb in history – I’ll be taking this tip to the range and practicing. Making the most of the bad situation. Thanks for the motivation

The hardest piece for me was to change to “form” instead of muscle in my swing. These tips are great. Keep up the good work Alex! Off to play 18 now.

Thanks for the video! I've been using many of these drills on my irons which great success. But for some reason, I still struggle with my woods/longer clubs. I think I have a natural 'fear' of impacting the ground with my woods and fatting them, so I end up standing instead of sinking and rotating.

USing this at the moment.. For some reason, as often seems the case with golf, errors creep in, and this week it's hips moving from that central, moving only around the spine, place, where they should be. I've started either drifting them right on the backswing, or lifting up before impact.. or both! Thin shots, fat shots, where did they come from? This drill really helps to tell you the moment you start doing that, and train you back to that solid base. Well worth a go.
