As an old man with balance issues, the mini driver has changed my life. The regular driver was too long to use before my balance issue came into effect. The mini driver changes all of that. I am back in the game.

Nice one Joe. Tried the reverse taper and it works for me. Mini driver? Shirley you just grip way down the driver shaft. Grooves all the way for amateurs? How did that take so long to figure out? I plain don’t like mallets, I prefer blades – you still need to work out the line and length even if the putter likes to face perpendicular to the path.

Tried a LAB putter, first time out with it hardly missed a single putt, after that round I was rubbish with it. Kept going with it for 8 or so more rounds and no luck, went back to a small toe hang putter and no regrets

My average score is 85 this year and I just can't get away from toe misses. I don't have time or interest in lessons or practice so I can't wait for a set of full-faced irons for the mid capper lol.

Full face makes so much sense. My wedges are FF & are sensational, so why not the irons?

I bought the LAB 2.1 2 months ago, it's the best golf money I've ever spent

Anyone who hasnt tried a LAB should give them a shot. I think they are pretty special and the science behind it all checks out. The main sticking point for the average punter is you get the best result by fitting for them, even though you can kind of get standard lie "off the shelf" models.

Great information Joe the pro! I have tried the LAB putters, I completely agree they are a game changer!

With the mini driver are you still meant to hit up on the ball like a driver or down angle of attack like a 3 wood?

Golf marketing just regurgitates the same stuff over and over. Lab putters are very similar to the odyssey back strike putters from 10 years ago. Mini drivers have been aroubd for ages. Look vack through players irons theyre all the same over and over again.

    1. Mini driver: wrong
    2. Lie balance putter: right
    3. Reverse taper grip: wrong
    4. Full face grooves: wrong
    5. 3D printed irons: who cares. will not result in lower prices.

Here’s a trend that will stay: golfers who don’t want to take lessons and put in the hard work but would rather buy new gimmick gear in the hope of improving their game 😊

All fads or trends that will not be around in years to come.
    1. Mini driver: 2 Wood

    2. Lie balance putter: Not helpful if can't read greens

    3. Reverse taper grip: More gimmick, you won't see Scotty Cameron throwing these on.

    4. Full face grooves: Who cares, beginner clubs only

    5. 3D printed irons: Agree, won't lower prices just different way to make a club.

All above are to get consumers to buy more…want a lower handicap…find a good pro and get lessons. Practice & more practice.

Only thing to be careful of with full face grooves is being clear on where the centre of the face actually is (TM now putting allignment lines on their wedges for this reason)

My grandad couldn’t get his head around hybrids. “Them bloody things are just a fad. Get a 3 iron in ur bag”

1 – mini driver is a player/course dependant club. More versatile than 3 wood and driver.

2 – reverse taper grips I like. Got one on my old DA’62 Ghost and it’s amazing.

3 – fill face grooves need to remain on wedges a bit longer.

I'll watch but I bet it's nothing but crap that will be gone in 6 months… Until the next wave of crap.
Oh Lord, he's a YouTube hand talker…🤦… And using the camera view where he's talking to a different camera. Why do they all do these stupid fads?

That reverse putter grip has been great for me.

Has it not always been the case that mini drivers have been around for years, they have some buzz, like the callaway x2 hot deep that Mikelson had at the 2013 open, then everyone realised they are not one thing or the other and they all get dropped. No different this time apart from some fleetwood hype from the kings of hype.
