Some really great golf Matt, a little lack of concentration with your first bogey put and not taking your medicine cost you dearly pal, not criticism as I'm a 13 handicap and just as guilty. But positive Matt is great to see ⛳️🏌🏻♂️👍

Matt golf can never be beaten. Seems like its a game with the same outcome as that guy who was chained to a rock and got struck by lightning on his head for eternity.
Overall, Matt, that was some pretty solid golf yes the putter wasn't really hot but as I was told by an old pga pro I've you can 2 putt every green your not going to be to far wrong score wise for the handicap golfer a wee bit different for you but on another day I bet 2 or 3 of those close efforts would possibly drop..
Now to the driver, oh boy it is definitely not behaving, question what's your 3 wood doing 😊

I think a decent round given the conditions Matt. But that decision on 12 mate, oh dear🤦♂️ I know the 2-iron works as a fairway finder, but can't help thinking a lower score is on the cards if you get the big stick or 3-wood out and take on some of those bunkers. Here's me, giving advice to a Pro about lowering scores.😂

Love the content and course management talk. Am wondering….out of the Finch, Sheils, Carter and Fryer quartet….who is playing the best golf. I always thought that Carter and Fryer were on a slightly different level. But over the past 12 or so months, I’m wondering if Finch is the man to catch?

SOme really good golf there Matt. Keep working the process and consistent 18 holes will be easily achievable. It took some getting used to, but I much prefer watching positive Matt, and I'm sure hes better to play with too. Love these videos with the course management and pre shot descriptions.
Well, um, perhaps if you had followed those "5 Simple Tips that Guarantee Perfect Drives" per your video of a couple of days ago, maybe you would have pulled the driver out more often….ya think?

One day in the near future, Matt, Pete and Rick might walk onto the green and have a look at where they want to land the ball and how it will roll out, before they chip over a bunker.😂 Instead they just hit and hope and then tell us all, how stupid the game is, or how bad the swing was, or how early it is. Excuses.
hey positive matt how ya doing ? i think the mindset is what golf is all about , it is a LIFE teacher …how do you deal with adversity ? can you maintain perspective of relative importance and just continue to do the best you can with each shot required of you ? ….great stuff to teach your little one …. ask yourself this as often as you need ….which matt fryer would you like your progeny to watch videos of ? and i think YOU like this version of matt fryer better ….still funny as the course is gorgeous so losing nothing and gaining a better level of mental health 🙂
Its funny how over 18 holes even when we try to play conservative at some point we think we can thread the needle and give it a try (usually with horrible results) I think hole 12 cost you 2 shots, and then the hangover cost you another on the next hole. So I would see you 3 strokes better without the brain fart on 12. 😂😂😎😎👍👍

You need to stay positive and enforce a course management plan…stupid/hero shots are normally very costly
hi matt lots of fairways found ,but what were you thinking on 12 .I can't believe you tried to get it through that small gap your good enough to get up and down if you chipped out sideways .Bogey a worst .
More aggressive off tee you’d have smashed it. ESP on 12 then you wouldntt be chipping out. Loads better.
Great memories of following Tony Jacklyn round this course when he played in the B.H. Not having played long I was taught not to swing too hard at the ball. Tony hit it so hard he nearly came out of his shoes after the strike.
Harder you hit it straighter it goes , no commitment from the t box
Great course management especially on hole 12!
Fulford is the biggest test of driving long and narrow.
Great example of a golf round that brings all aspects of this Stupid game into play . Tough conditions, a few odd swings and bounces leaves us scrambling.❤

The 18th is a very easy eagle. Just flirt with the trees on your right with a full driver, tiny draw. You should now have a full 5 iron attacking the bumps on the left side of the green. This shot should kick your ball close to the pin. (Use a slight fade to help the ball jump off the Bankside). Now you can just putt it in
