Video Description
Following on from the grip size and swing weight video I revisit the KBS Experience workshop to highlight everything you should consider when switching models and weights of the grips you use.
There’s a reason you like certain clubs in your bag so when considering midsize grips or a jumbo option you can potentially make your favorite club one of your worst. Learn more on this subject and you will be better equipped for your next grip change.
The KBS Experience in Carlsbad can take care of all of this for you. You can get a fitting at KBSX & Evan can dial in your clubs just like this video demonstrates.

great videos man, keep it up.
Jumbo Max all the way!! No more two way misses on top of comfort and control.
Great content. Loved your chat Joe Ferguson on Kickpoint. What do you think about Ripit grips?
This is pretty irrelevant. MOI is a much more useful measurement of how the heft will feel. Swingweight can be tricked
So if I want to use the same grip but add even one double sided tape to the grip the swing weight changes significantly?
That’s exactly why I changed my wedges to +4s too, I didn’t like the grip getting so narrow when gripping down. Have midsize 5-9, and midsize +4s on wedges, but considering changing all my clubs to midsize +4s.
Love it Trottie! LOVE IT ALL <3
What is your stance on folks using compressed Air for installation of grips?
Since you have been on the tour truck out there with the best of the best. I am curious if you ever did that installation method and if anyone could tell the difference between Tape underneath vs No Tape underneath. I believe KRANK uses Air installation for their stock grips.
I started to do this for wedges & irons. Super Stroke Lamkin Crossline 2.0 100 JUMBO size and they seem to be holding up few weeks in.
As a fixed income beginner, my golf clubs are finally all from the same era and model, Taylormade Sim 2. My reality is an assortment of different grips on the clubs, some OEM, some Lamkin, one florescent green odd duck. I am blessed with large hands? So I thought it appropriate to go to Jumbo CP2 wrap on all my clubs, I figure having uniformity across the set is important, I'm still working on straight shots from the Tee Box. My economic reality is such that this will probably be as close as I ever come to having a matching set, this excellent video is one day late, I regripped my clubs yesterday, so by default I missed this wisdom and insight. Trottie, I'm listening to what you have to say, I appreciate the insight.
Best YouTuber ever
How does the grip butt factor into length? For example, if someone moves into or out of a JumboMax, since the butt adds 3/8”? Seems like that part was skipped.
If a grip has a larger butt end, do you keep the shaft length the same?
The jumbo max no taper XS are incredible, use the jumbo max SM on the driver
