US Open, 18th hole, SNF hit 1 iron and then a 3 iron from 212 to the hole, uphill! It's on the official highlights. He almost hit the flag!
I still can’t believe Sir Nick was in a courtyard Marriott when he won the jacket!!
An interesting question for SNF would be how and why his swing/game fell away. '88-'89 he had a particular pattern – super early wrist set and super neutral; '90 was a zenith; '91 he swing got wider and slightly shorter; '92 was longer again but the transition had changed – pull down and not out to the ball line; '93 he got across the line, really started to cup his left wrist and '94 onwards the original swing change pattern had been lost. Please ask
After my old man died nick gave me 3 tickets for 93 masters…I met him at the Marriott to get the tickets

I used to play against him in my mind when I was a kid…. didn't very often! Absolute gold from Mr Faldo, that tradectary tip I'll take with me onto the course.
Nick who is worthy of the title of sir is a chatty type isn’t he. He’s got the art of conversation nailed. Not a kid anymore but what great memories he’s got to draw upon. An analytical thinker. A ordinary guy who became extraordinary particularly with his 3 Masters wins and 3 Opens. Not an easy achievement coming from where he came from. A gritty player thats clearly skilful. Maybe his background of 2 up 2 down, gave him his great desire to win. Most people are thrilled for him. Not a flashy type. And all this ingratiates him with the public. He strikes me as someone who wonders what life is all about. Nice interview by two great guys. Thanks. And thanks to Nick for his tips.
