About This Video: Getting down to a single digit handicap is certainly no easy task, especially if you pick up the game of golf later in life. I’ve struggled quite a bit with this in my own personal golf journey. But don’t worry, because there is hope, and getting down to a single digit handicap doesn’t have to be as difficult as you think. In fact, I’ve found that by simply focusing my energy on a few (fairly simple) mindset changes, as well as a couple of fundamental golf drills, I was finally able to see my golf handicap dip into the single digits, which has allowed me to shoot better scores, and generally enjoy the game of golf just a bit more. In this video I’ll show you exactly what I did to improve my golf game, and how you can do the same to go from a beginner golfer, to a single digit handicap player pretty quickly.
Love this one
This is one of your best and most informative videos in some time! Thank you for the great tips
Congratulations on lowering my the cap! Solid advice. Thanks for sharing the tips!
This has been an excellent video. Well done and thank you!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your journey on the path to better golf. Your experiences and insights are fantastic for reaching goals toward obtaining a scratch.
I see in one of your b roll clips you played North Jersey Country Club in Wayne. What did you think? I used to work there and played it a bunch as a kid!
Love seeing the constant improvement. My biggest changes were in my decision making and working to eliminate a two way miss. Worked down to a plus.
So simple but yet soo profound. Focus on accuracy and not distance. I have a Sim and when you do, you focus on distance a lot… More specifically to improve, when it comes to focusing on accuracy, thinking start line is key.
Great video. I'm currently a 13 struggling / trying to get to single digit this year The accuracy first tip and center face contact tip is awesome. Thanks for the great information.
Ingraining swing fundamentals over time through focus and repetition is the only way.
Great vid mate ππ»
Makes sense.
Good stuff ππ»
My goal
(for a few years now)
has been to:
Get to a SINGLE DIGIT HANDICAP
β¦ just once in my life π
Unfortunately, Iβve gone from an 11 to my current 14 π©
But Iβm optimistic for this season because:
1) Iβve been totally focusing on short game (100 yards in and chipping around the green), and
2) slowing down (tempo) and a slight pause at the top
Thus, β¦ Accuracy
(over hitting it farther β¦ distance)
Weβll see how it pans out π€·πΌββοΈ
Man I know how it feels. I went from dead at 18 very slowly went down to 10 then back up to 12-13 for a while and finally got myself down to 8 towards the end of last season.
Iβm happy for you, Frank! We could go even lower. Letβs go!!
Bogey golf 18 HI is good, 9 is better. Good tips. But bogey golf is nice.
Wow, your first trick really resonates with me. Coming out of winter training, I tried 3/4 swings that feels very slow but only lose 10 yards on my full swing carry distances.
Easiest way to get better, have access to the best coaches.
I purchased the MLM2 pro based on your reviews. Can you tell me how far you have the unit from your hitting area? I canβt get mine to register my driver swings.
NJCC great Club!
One thing that helped me was making my targets in the largest landing areas. This gave me a lot more leeway for mistakes. Feels great taking strokes off your game and I recently had my best game ever. Shot an 82 and I'm normally a 20+ handicap
Good going, man! That's big.
all great points and agree with all of them, but gotta call out having a full simulator and playing for a living on youtube certainly helps.
This is all great advice and makes a lot of sense. I struggle with breaking 80 myself and I thought it had a lot to do with course management. But I feel my ball striking lacks a lot. I recently bought a Mevo+ and hope that the season will be the season I break 80.
400ish away from 100k!!!!!! You got it fellas!!!! ππΌππΌ
Pro tip: thinking about accuracy in your head does not impact ball-striking technique. You have to learn & change technique. This other stuff is icing on the cake, & marginal, compared to techniques.
I only focus on accuracy bc I don't have a clue how far my clubs go, I just started playing. I know my 5h carries around 190-200 and that one I hit straight 9/10 times.
good stuff… thanks for the info…
What iPad do you use for your launch monitor? I have the Skytrak plus and looking to get an iPad. Thanks
The more you focus on accuracy, the farther the ball goes.
Biden is better than you lol πππππππ§’π§’π§’π§’π§’
