By: Paige Spiranac | Duration: 00:31:39

Video Description

Although I had what I’d consider a very successful golf career, I made a ton of mistakes when I went pro and I want to help you or your kids to NOT make the same mistakes I did. Here’s what I learned from playing professional golf, and if you’re interested in a specific topic, I got you covered below.

1. Junior golf rankings (3:21)
2. Seeking the “perfect” swing (5:31)
3. You’re going to fail (8:16)
4. Top colleges don’t always matter (11:16)
5. Preparation for after college golf (16:13)
6. Sports psychology vs. therapy (20:58)
7. What life on tour is really like (23:56)

Part 2 please! You are exceptional, you have learned a ton from your trials and failures. All of these things you have done up to the present have made you now the most fun and engaging influencer on you tube. Being yourself makes your videos with other pros and youtubers easy peasy, fun and hilarious. Your collaborations are gold! I use your bunker tips whenever I am in a bunker and do not sweat it at all.

Guarantee if she took another shot at it, she would be much more relaxed. When we get older, we get wiser, we're less fragile, more strategic, better at keeping things in perspective, and more unflappable, that's the great thing about aging, that mental toughness we develop. Bet she would be way tougher now mentally than the fragile 23 or 24 year olds she would go up against. She has the physical tools in her long putts and 260+ drives, just the mental which she may rock now.

Wow, not at all what I expected. Seriously, you 30 ish at this point. Take a break, find a husband and have some babies. Leave golf, thotism, neuroticism and what ever else you've got going wrong in your life behind and focus on your future.

Great video Paige! Wish I could've helped you with your mental game. I'm a meditator and bodywork which seems like what you could have used those modalities.

Great information from your experiences that young golfers should know!. Working hard and dedicating yourself is a great mindset to have. I waited for my career opportunity to finally come to fruition. Worked out 6 days a week, finally started to eat "right" gained a bunch of muscle, lost weight got to the point where I could pass the physical entrance requirements without issue. Then in the middle of doing the hiring process, after passing the physicals, and the first set of medical tests, my immune system betrayed me and destroyed any semblance of me having the career I've always wanted and not and chance at being able to function like a normal able bodied human. Went from working out 1 to 2 hours a week to barely being able to move. Working harder now to just get out off bed and not fall over. Life can be hard in regards to sports, but even harder when medical issues show up that are no ones fault but your own body's.
