New golfer, just trying to make sense out of the new love-hate relationship, and welcome the sense of humor, careful-quick teaches in your head. Because of these videos, I actually can stomach PGA golf tournaments, if your there. Nice to see a pro coming down to Youtube earth to teach noobs like me. I'd love to see a successful conversion of a new, trainable golfer follow some of your tips, and prove they make a difference on screen. And why on Earth does it seem like like no one can putt that thing in the hole ??

What is the electronic unit you use on your drives that shows club speed and distance. I'm confused as heck at what you've got there.

I mean this just really shows how good tiger was when the golf balls were like that

Great video. Why change to a roll-back ball? It seems to be a lose-lose for pros and club golfers. Worse it will make golf less entertaining for spectators.

You should do a video where you use left handed clubs.

Or one where you play a round with thrift store clubs 😂

seems like the ball is doing what the rolled-back ball is supposed to do, reduce distance.

I'm just going to say this. The reason they are rolling back the golf balls is because of your gains. You aint supposed to like the changes. They have two choices, Roll back the ball or make courses longer.

I mean the Nike One was released in 2009. 315 was about how far balls go back then. Ball technology really came a long way

it'd be interesting to see a 15+ HCP (99.9% of all golfers) do this comparison 🙂

but it spins more with driver so why isn’t it hooking more then

So basically Bryson best ball speed is going to be 180 max and the rest of the tour is going back into the 158 to 160 range. That’s a 280 carry folks. Going to be interesting

The rule makers are the problem.
I have 20 drivers that I’ve built 47 “ plus all legal even my 51 1/2 inch driver until these pencil necked bureaucrat Weasley scum bags thought they had a good idea and don’t.

What is the thing he's placing in front of himself when he's swinging? Like a portable trackman?

I didn't think anyone else played the Prov1x Left dash. I did a 3rd party golf ball fitting and it was top 3 of my recommended, thought I would give it a try. I LOVE THEM.

I really enjoy your videos Bryson. I also really like your swing. However, I can beat you with a generic range ball if you are up for the challenge. Use what whatever ball you'd like. Hit me up if you are up for it.

instead of rolling back the Ball, they need to redesign the courses, move the danger zones out, can't make some courses any bigger because of locations, so just change the danger zones.

I bought some reconditioned pro v 1 and they are terrible lost quite a bit of yardage and my wedges were destroying the cover on the ball

shoulda used the left dash at the sametime

Bryson, why do you think a roll back will hurt your game…rolling back will probably benefit you the most. Your club head speed is so much greater than 90% of the players you'll still be 300 on average off the tee and those guys will be 25 yards behind you. Also, you should send me a Crank driver…:)

There was a similar thing that happened in the sport of bowling with ball technology. A type of ball with a certain type of coverstock (the outside part that touches the lane) called urethane was experiencing, over time, a softening effect that caused them to hook more as they got older than balls that were same model, but new. It resulted in one of the two entities that host pro events, the USBC, changing the 'hardness' requirements to a higher amount, which in theory would mean that the cover is going to grip the lane surface less tightly and thus hook less overall. The results in this past season, the first season of the rule implementation, were as far as I know not that severe for at least one ball manufacturer. Now, the equivalent to a 20 yard carry difference in golf is probably something like going back to 1990s era urethane balls which are significantly weaker than their modern counterparts. Which would be a much more severe change than what USBC ultimately decided upon doing. But as always, the best in the world can adapt. And for golf, it's true that you can't make the holes a whole lot bigger than they already are for multiple reasons so it makes sense that limiting technology is the only way to ensure that the best player sin the world don't make a joke of course conditions the way Tiger did at his apex.

Rolling back golf balls is just a terrible idea. Hope it doesn't happen.

Would be interesting to use an old Titleist Balata ball…wonder how many swings with Bryson's speed before it is deformed. Balatas were so soft and would spin like crazy around the green.

Really enjoy the running commentary. Like hearing what you're thinking. I don't think it really matters, you guys are going to break par no matter what ball you play or which clubs you use. I'll bet if you had a year to practice you could shoot under par with the same clubs and balls that Bobby Jones used. Great will shine through.

I don't think they should roll them back but they do need to set a standard for how they are made, similar to other sports.

It was interesting to see you do a comparison with your Pro V ball on those two holes. When you do more of this type of video – Maybe play the 2 different balls the whole game ???

I like the roll back. one thing I noticed is the less spin out of the rough. Instead of bombing it into the rough and flipping wedges that stop like a dart. This ball could make hitting the fairways more of a premium.
