I struggle to hit my 3wood both off the tee and off the fairway. Any tips there would be very appreciated. Thanks!

Always compress the ball with hybrid and fairway woods, much the same as with iron, i squeeze it away. Works for me, just straighter and more versatile. Also, hit stingers with hybrids, works a treat, and so easy to do.

Hi Matt, I’d love your input on helping me shallow my driver swing to stop me hitting fades.

I always think of the feeling of pressing down into the ground with lead foot during the swing.

It helped to watch this! I grabbed a combo set of a 3H and a 4H Mizuno Fli-Hi 2019 and they may be "old" but man do they go. Now to replicate that on the course..ha -sweats-.

Hook with driver. I learned to hit inside out now get a fair amount of hooks or too much draw.

Hit them fine on the range, pull hooking them on the course!

Good points…..depending on the lye and using a higher club… I may have the ball slightly behind the middle to ensure a down swing to graze the turf. Experiment to see what works for you.

Sometimes, I hit the ball great for several shots in a row. Other times, I top it or slice and can't hit it right to save my life. What fundamentals should I develop to be more consistent?

I’m switching to a full set of hybrids after viewing your review. Should ball position remain the same for all lofts?

I’ve tried that. But I get more distance and accuracy if I position the ball closer to my right foot just like iron. Because that’s what they are modified iron. I swing down on the ball with hybrids. Works for me. I use a #3 #4#5#6 and #7 hybid Great results. Just sayin ✌🏼. Cheers

I have always struggled with fairway woods or hybrids. More often than not, I hit them thin or I top them. On a rare occasion, I will make good contact. Your video here makes it seem like I must be swinging up with most of my weight on my back leg. I will go out to the range tomorrow and see how I do swing down slightly with my weight shifting.

Thanks for the advice, I'm definitely in need of it as I'm just getting used to my first hybrid. Should the smash factor improve also when hitting down on the ball?

I play my 4 hybrid in the center of my feet, but I play all my clubs further back than most people. I love my hybrid and never had a more consistant or easy to hit straight club. It will go 220-240 with an easy swing.
