The placement of the hole was diabolical.
THIS GOLF COURSE IS RIGGED AGAINST NELLY KORDA. WOMANS GOLF HAS LOST ALL CREDIBILITY
Typical USGA. Turn a prestigious event into a circus
Nelly just started her round and got the rude awakening. That's all. She will win her next tournament by 10 strokes!
That was unbelievable
Well, that's the difference between real golf and female golf. Fact.
Hmmmmmm…..looks like……Augusta National…..15th green…..agree?
Why describe something that you can just watch a highlight of.
Great hole
That hole was just so difficult.
'in the moment'
@golfchannel you missed an opportunity to explain why Nelly dropped and hit from that side of the water when she went in the water on the greenside
This shows the absurdity of golf today. I am in my 65th year of playing. Yesterday I shot my age from "member tees" (6,100 yds) for the 11th time. Golf has become a spectacle like the gladiator sports (and feeding victims to lions) of ancient Roman times. Pretty soon we'll be seeing windmills and clown-faces-with-open mouths to putt (OR hit) through. This is just another distraction to all of what is going on geopolitically in the USA and the world. Just like the Wizard of Oz – Don't look behind the curtain. What ever happened to "risk vs reward". People need to wake up and realize they are literally a "captive" audience – psychologically captivated with drama, gore, sexuality, etc. As the Romans said: "Bread and Circuses" for the unaware and weak in spirit. It's not entertainment. It's about control. These "modern courses" caused Korda, possibly the greatest golfer these days, to be humbled – by chance. Even she is not in control of her destiny because the designs prevents that.
Should rerun Tiger’s 10 at Augusta’s 12, now that we’re cutting fish open 👍
Kinda a stupid hole if you ask me. I'm surprised they didn't make it the 18th hole so it becomes the playoff hole. That way everyone can get home early and watch the news. Trying to make people fail is just so negative for the game of golf. This isn't put, put.
Poorly designed hokey pokey hole.
Lmao!! That shit is not hard!! Im an avid golfer at 43 years old and played on my high school team and never professionally golfed at all and my four plays harder holes than this mofo all the time!! Lmao what a joke!!
They all played the same hole.
How in the hell did you make a 10 ? Missed my putt for a 9
Worst for me is an 8. 10 handicap
Disgusting hole and poorly designed. There is NO WAY that if you hit the green and go past the pin away from the water, and then be able to PUTT the ball into the water. Shouldn’t be happening on any properly designed hole.
52 balls in the creek, assuming prov1, tpx5 or other high end balls that’s around $300 in balls in 1 day lol
Nice job Mel!
Too difficult hole …
If the best golfer in the world makes a 10 on a par 3, it can only be a crap hole, 52 balls in the water? Crap hole.
I was there on the 1st day. In the afternoon when the green dried up even more and wind picked up it was really scary hole.
When you say a 4 is absolutely fine on a par 3 there's something kinda wrong there lol.
She was already famous for her achievements but that 10 made her an unforgettable golfer.
Do not try to birdie every hole. I would play this hole as par 4. Get bogey and move on. You gotta weight for risk & reward. You risk for a birdie but if you miss, that is a disaster. You gotta make up for another 6 holes for birdie. Golf is a game of management.
Mel Reid is so good
Welcome to Donald Ross Courses. End of line.
JK… Actually, it's a great hole and this is what golf is now and forever.
The old number 17 at Medina No. 3 for the 1975 U.S. Open was exactly the same. Players said the whole tournament was hitting the green on the last day. It was unfair like this hole. This was near where Trevino and his group got hit by lightning. I was there when it happened and actually saw it strike.
Golf. One hole make you lost!!
awesome
She was trying very hard to have a uphill putt instead of just getting it on the green. Bad strategy especially after the first failure.
the hole is more ‘crazy golf’ than real golf. Good TV segment
What hole is the clown's mouth and the windmill?
