Golf Monthly media production has really improved recently (#DHG). Joe, lovely to see the Maxfli name continuing, Aussie blades ruled the day when I was a lot younger. I have a challenge for you. I enjoy carrying my clubs but a full set of clubs is getting tiresome. Can you design your carry-set of 8 or 9 clubs maximum? They don't need to match but lofts are challenging. Great video Joe.
Your links never work as Amazon doesn’t sell what you show in the videos
I was in a Dicks' Sporting goods in the USA this week and they had these irons in a full fitting cart.. They look really nice and priced at $ 999.00 USD for 4-PW. I would compare these to the DTC brands like Sub 70, Ben Hogan, Takomo.
Great to see this brand making a comeback!
Very cool to see them make irons. The balls are a hit among the gear heads.
I played the Maxfli Revolution Black dot irons and they felt unbelievable.
Good looking clubs with performance at a fair price – what is there not to like!
Will they release players iron with normal loft for a 7 iron?
These look great and gapping seemed to be a better fit but the price still seems steep considering brand and other dtc options
Maxfli Black dot and the maxfli a 10 irons where so good back in the days
Dick's and Golf Galaxy are part of the same company so Maxfli is available at either chain in the U.S. I use the Maxfli Tour ball and it is right there with any premium brand at a significant savings. I also use the Tommy Armour Impact No. 3 putter which is also this company's house brand, and I find to be very good, and in a world of really expensive putters its cost of $149.99 is a buy (you can also get 15% off if you sign up for their product messaging). So I am not surprised that these irons are testing out so well. Thanks for the review.
I had a set of revolution black dots and I still have a set of Max fly Australian Blades the originals
XC3 next?
They're beautiful. Remind me a little of Maltby TS3's
Played Maxfli tour Ltd, revolution, and A10's. All solid clubs.
I will not pay a grand for irons that depreciate faster than cars. No, gracias.
Still play the a10's. Love them.
So good to see Maxfli irons again. Played Maxfli DP30 irons in the early 90’s. Absolutely loved them. Would easily look at these next time I need new irons. Hopefully they’ll be sold in Australia.
What about price comparison, or did I miss that?
My best mate had a set of maxfli blades in the early 2000s. Lovely looking club….. hardest club I ever tried to hit !
One of my best mates had a set of the Maxfli revolutions, I was very jealous back in the day, love the look of these new Maxfli irons, I would pick them over the TM’s, just love the look of them, they also sounded great to me, I know that is subjective, but I just simply prefer the Maxfli, knowing them from old definitely helps me choose also
This is pretty exciting. I have played a set of rock hard cast MaxFli irons for the last 20+ years. Literally get my replacements today, but they are a different brand. These looks awesome. Hopefully they do well
I used to love finding a DDH 500 ball as a junior and playing it as long as I could before it wasn’t round anymore. It lasted longer than a balata.
The revolution’s were a great iron and I’ve toyed with the idea of grabbing a set from Golfclubs4cash recently to make a one length set for an experiment.
Excellent comparison
Played Maxfli A 10 Tour ltd ,combo set, came out in 2000 and were used by Ian Woosnam Jay Hass & Robert Allenby, great irons.
Hey Joe, definitely loving the look of these clubs and would have no issue buying them. I never played Maxfli, but have always wanted to buy a set of Aussie blades, certainly not good enough to use them.
I work for Golf Galaxy and Maxfli is our in house brand. These new irons are nowhere near what the old models were. Hate to say that but it is what it is. They look great but don’t feel like a forged iron at all. At least not in comparison to Mizuno, Srixon, or even Wilson Staff.
I played Maxfli Masters irons many years ago, still own them but currently agisted out with a mate.
I had a set of A10's and they were magnificent.
YES!!!!
Maxfli revolution
Maxfli Revolution Black irons, best feeling irons I have ever gamed. Very excited Maxfli is back. Lets hope they last in this competitive market
Had a set of maxfli revolutions loved them glad to see they’re back.
Wow! 7mph difference?! 😳 Man, P790s really are the goat of players distance.
i play the tour x ball and irons from dicks component arm the golfworks. my irons are very similar to the maxfli revolutions.
Still have my Australian Blade 1 iron that I used with the DDH ball back in the ‘80s
Forget about the irons. What a nice swing!
I had two sets of the Australian Blades and they were by far my favorite irons I've ever owned. Good to see that they are back making good irons again.
Max flight irons were my first premium iron set. Bought them at a golf store. Maxfli Max 357 irons. Bought them in 1990. I still have the clubs. Use them now for when we have visitors that are new players. I live in a town which is a golf destination in the winter. I have a higher handicap, so I would be looking at the XC3. I would be very interested to try them.
132mph ball speed and you look like you're barely swinging 😲. Would like to see a video on your advice for doing that!
Great to see Maxfli back….had set of Maxfli Australian Blade irons and Persimmon Woods back in the day….great clubs …⛳️⛳️
Played Maxfli A10 progressives for years, fantastic irons, should have kept them
Like the look of these, but manufacturers havent worked out very few amateurs now play full iron sets, they dont offer a 4 club purchase option, or mix and match with their hybrids. At age 68, i now carry Titleist 3,5,6 and 7 hybrids, so then i play 8 and 9 irons, then bespoke PW, GW and Lob wedge, so only want to buy 2 irons. This has given me back my distance and kept me low single figures. get rid of your ego guys, and embrace hybrids. Beauty of Titleist hybrids, they aren’t too offset, and you can adjust them
I still play Revolution Red Dots! Thinking about upgrading now that these clubs are out. Can’t beat that Mizuno manufacturing!
Maxfli revolution black dot some of the best clubs I’ve ever used.
