Simple Backswing Drill: All you need for this super-simple backswing drill is two golf balls and room to swing a golf club.
Using The Ground: Discover how proper knee rotation can improve your backswing and help you use vertical forces from the ground in order to in turn improve your downswing, improve your ball striking and hit more greens.
Why Watch?
Effective Drills: Mark demonstrates practical drills that anyone can incorporate into their practice routine.
Proven Results: These tips have been tested with some of the world’s best players, ensuring their effectiveness.

Great lesson again 👌
Is it OK to get the feel or even actually have your head go up a little at the top of the backswing? I think I saw it on one of Brysons videos and when I tried that feel, I was able to get more down force into the ball before clearing my hips. The ball flight and distance was better because of the compression. I'm just not sure if that's right or wrong ( manipulated swing)?
Mark another brilliant video
Good point Mark – something definitely overlooked in teaching the basics. A very easy way to get the feel of correct back leg/knee rotation is to place a doorstop (or wedge) under the outside center of the rear foot (i.e., place lower part of doorstop facing inside of foot) then making some practice swings or shots that way.
Nice… the ball reference point seems great! As I age and my range gets more restricted though I wonder if I could just limit the strain on both knees as I swing. It’s a lot of torque forces after all…
I would like for Mark to do a video on eye dominance. I think it has a huge impact on the way one sets up and swings. it seems most of the swing instruction online and in magazines is bias towards cross-dominant players. most tour pros are also cross-eye dominant which is an anomaly since the majority of the population (including myself) is the other way round. it is much easier for cross-eye dominant players to set up square to the ball and swing from the inside.
Great stuff. Is there some element of internal rotation of the trail hip here as well?
Great video! One of those that offers immediate improvements. I was off by such a small amount but the consistency improvement was immediate.
great video. I've noticed that my leg muscles in the rear leg are still weak enough to only be able to do this kind of move about half a round. It is very effective, but difficult physically.
I was a 10hcp and did all these amateur things. I thought I was pretty good still though. Once I really started filming my swing and improving, I'm now a 3.2hcp. It makes a huge difference working on this stuff.
Been shocked for years your subsribtion base isn't over 2 millon
