I love his co-hosts
Before all of the You Tube instructional videos now available, I use to go to the Golf Channel and watch Martin Hall's School of Golf and Michael Breed to get my golf tips! Thank you for all that you did for my game! I wish you all the best in whatever your future endeavors may be! Well Done Sir for your past accomplishments!!!!
Well done sir.
Great show !!!!!
He has taught so many in very unique way. Have always enjoyed watching him. Still can’t hit a draw.
Thanks for the years of tips!
Thanks Martin for all your contributions to the game we all love 🙏
Wow I remember when this show started came on right after The Golf Fix with Michael Breed
Always appreciated Martin's enthusiasm and positivity.
Well done, have a wonderful retirement.
I genuinely cannot be more thankful for Professor Halls lessons; as well as all his co hosts and special guests; and awesome experiences. I enjoyed so many episodes over the years and will use the lessons as references on you tube for years to come.
Enjoys retirement. After experiencing an emotional retirement ceremony for an 84 year old school custodian today; this must be tough. But I know Mr Hall will have an awesome time with whatever he does.
Good luck sir working on your game sir.
Just remember if keep doing what you’ve been doing…you know.
🫡
Thank you sir, your love of the amatuer level of golf was obvious to us that benefited from your instruction.
Just total class. Well done!
What a great man and a amazing teacher for us common folk.
It’s been wonderful watching the tips 😢
Enjoy your retirement
Has been a pleasure watching your videos and simple tips
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you, Mr Martin. God bless your continued life journey! ⛳️💕
He mentioned Blair, but I think Sara deserved a mention, as well. She did a fine job co-hosting a heck of a lot of shows. If there were other co-hosts, I have to admit I don’t remember.
Thanks for all your tips and enjoy a long and fulfilling retirement!
From a mid who grew up watching golf channel and loved these tips, cheers mate. See ya on the tee.
I always recorded School of Golf and Playing Lessons with the Pro on my DVR. Great show Mr. Hall had. He is a great instructor and seems like a wonderful man. Enjoy retirement Sir!
And remember folks, if you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep getting what you've been getting.
It is always sad to lose the voice of a true lover of the game. His personal enjoyment was infectious. The fact that I am not aware of a single player that he has mentored to a significantly level makes one question his coaching ability. The buffet of tricks he put on display left the selection process to the student, which did not facilitate focused, staged improvement. The ultimate dabbler…. Thank you, Martin. I wish you were leaving a game that is at its apex. Since the addition of a fifth major by the conniving LPGA, the victory of Greg Norman in realizing his lifelong goal of taking down the PGA with LIV, and now Rory and Tiger supporting simulator golf, you are leaving a game that is on the precipice.
Thanks, Martin. You’re a real classy person and you always gave incredibly useful instruction.
Also, your instruction was easy to follow .
Enjoy your well deserved retirement!
I think Martin’s best contribution to improving golf swings is his EDPU – Elbows Down Palms Up – club gripping technique which automatically makes the Vardon style grip do this 🤷🏼♂️ in the golf swing: force the trail elbow down and the arm to externally rotate to the max in the backswing like the action of a waiter lifting tray over shoulder and then doing EXACTLY THE SAME THING in the follow through which is necessary to get the trail arm pulled straight to arrest the club by transmitting its remain kinetic energy down the trail arm > body > lead foot > ground for a slow, controlled and perfectly balanced finished.
Start like this 🤷🏼♂️then this 🙏🏼 placing lead then trail hand on the grip with shaft vertical. Once the grip is established WITH SHAFT VERTICAL bend over at hips and let weight of club pull the arm straight. You will notice the hand and forearm rotate on the way down and feel tension (torque) between the hands.
Push down lightly with the pad of the trail hand to push any remaining slack out of the lead elbow and the feeling of counter-torque will increase and shoulders-arms-hands will feel like a solid steel triangle which literally forced the club to be taken back in ‘one piece’ with the shoulder turn IN-SYNC, not hand, arm, shoulders moving independently and randomly swing-to-swing and club to club.
That ‘iron triangle’ consistency shot-to-shot and club-to-club in the takeaway continues as the counter-torque between the hands literally ‘levers’ the trail hand into extension 🫸 and the arm to fold down and externally rotate <—— 🤷🏼♂️ If you’ve never tried it and grip the club resting dead on the ground in front of you it will be game changer.
I call the part where you put palms together 🙏🏼 “faith based golf” telling people if you trust your swing you don’t need to look up to see where it landed you’ll know when you hit it. 😂
What a gentleman!
I always enjoyed his enthusiasm and sincerity and never speaking down to his audience and realizing everyone is not a scratch playing but everyone wants the same thing out of golf to play better and belay as well as they can regardless of the physical gifts they were blessed with , congratulations and good health
Genuinely loves the game.
Congratulations and all the best to you!
Thank You Martin I have really enjoyed watching your shows… You Sir have been a GREAT Help to Everyone in This Crazy But Great Game of Golf… Thanks Again Sir… Brian
a classic and will be missed
WELL DONE SIR!
Best of luck Martin! Miss you already!
"If you keep on doing what you've been doing, you will keep on getting what you've been getting. Make the effort. Make the change. It is so worth it."
This is next level wisdom, for golf and for life. Thank you Martin!
Thanks for all your insights on the show !
Professional, class and enjoyment as he makes the game we play better.
I would be happy to tske his place and do those shows with Blair!
I’ve gotten some enduring tips from Martin’s show. Every time I hit a good sand shot I think of Martin Hall and always will. Thank-you and have a great retirement.
Going to miss Martins great golf advice and enthusiasm. You’ve taught me so much. Enjoy your retirement and peaceful tranquility on the course now. Time alone and time with family and friends is what it’s all about going forward. Thank You Martin.
Congratulations on your retirement Martin!
Now the ugly question…..who will come in to replace Martin?
One of the best golf lesson shows ever! Will miss him!
Omg what an idiot! Take you stupid toys and home made training aids or a real golf driving range! You look like an idiot and I want to see everyone laughing at all your “training aids”!
It's been a privilege to view his instruction and wisdom(keep doing what you've been doing is my favorite!). His wedge week episodes with Dave Pelz are a must for all golfers. Enjoy your retirement Mr. Hall !!
Congratulations and well done on a fantastic career. No one will go on to beat the numbers of shows and different tips. Pure enjoyment. Enjoy the retirement..
