Video Description

What makes golf on Long Island so unique? Beachside courses, egg sandwiches, family ties, and the island’s hardworking people make public golf here a truly special scene. Gregg Giannotti starts off by introducing us to some of his favorite people at West Sayville. Then, GOLF’s Tim Reilly and James Colgan walk Robert Moses State Pitch and Putt, Montauk Downs, and the Shelter Island Country Club. Finally, we highlight a members club without an official home, the Nassau Players Club. They take us around Bethpage Red, one of the most sought after tee times anywhere on the island.

Ha! Bunch of gatekeepers, and Robert Moses was the biggest one of them all.

Please don't post anything like this again. The island is inundated with way more golfers than golf courses, and the ones with money and connections keep the regular Joe from getting reasonable tee times. Nice if you're a club member, quite the opposite if you live in Bethpage and can never get on the course 👎

😱Our secret is out🏌🏽‍♀️🤣I want to know why we NY taxpayers have to pay the same price as non-New Yorkers for Ryder Cup tickets? Calling on Gov. Hochul to do something about this injustice 😃
