I love this explanation! A lot of people just fire hips which could cause blockage or even injury trying to hit it straight (personal experience) that drop the arms then rotate helped my game a lot! Love the drill keep at it Alex

Being 60 the most damage ever done to golfers back before the internet was the static photo of the lag when hands were waist high in downswing. I believe this photo caused many a golfer to hang on to that lag which made us pull the handle thru as u described. After yrs of muscle memory doing this i now understand its not flipping but allowing my hands to pass over. Hitting it further and straighter than when i was 30. Happy but so depressed i wasted yrs of golf. Ty from Texas!

Wow, in my opinion this is your best video to date. So relevant to me and so easy to do at home without going to the range and so beneficial as it trains muscle memory so you can practise without actually hitting balls and using as a warm up routine you won’t get drawn into hitting ball after ball before playing in a competition and if you haven’t hit it great on the range before the competition you won’t be in a good frame of mind to take to the course whereas doing what you suggest you are just practising meeting certain target movements in your swing rather than concentrating on what the ball is doing. Great, simply great – thank you!

Going to try this! Thank you Alex. It might be a topic for beginners only but I really could do with a video from you about clubhead control. I have been playing golf now for a year. I’m finally at the stage where I’m more confident of hitting the ball. However the direction is really terrible: I hook my irons and slice my driver. I make a nice shot at the green and hit pin high, however 30 meters to the left. How can I start learning doing this better: gripp, wrists, swing, …?

Love your 3 minute home drills! I have stumbled on to 2 things that I think have helped me both while drilling AND on the course: 1.) on the downswing, as the hands drop, I want to feel as though my trail knee “beats” my hands to the ball. This seems to get my pressure shift and low point forward. 2.) I inhale on my backswing and exhale on the downswing. I have found that it is quite difficult to maintain unwanted tension in my arms and upper body while exhaling. This seems to help the club whip through the hitting zone and makes it harder to drag the club or chicken wing it. I welcome any thoughts, criticisms, or refinements you might have! Thanks for helping all of us trying to get better at this confounding game!

Alex I have had numerous lessons ,and have the same problem cupped left wrist, early extension, last week I shot 3 over for the front 9 with 2 6’s on the card, back 9 47😢so videoed my swing cupped wrist still , I have purchased HackMotion but still struggle with this no matter how much I try to bow my wrist , but now I think I might have found a solution by keeping my right arm connected like Ben hogan no more cup , but is a flat swing ok also why would my pro not see this thanks in advance
