Makes so much sense– the club head has to move faster than the grip up the club– which has to happen with a proper release– which also means you have to have proper wrist/hands movement. It never made sense to me with most instructors who say "Body leads and Hands/arms are passive" that feel idea never made sense to me. The L to L drill realy helped me with this.
Amazing video as always
Watch figures skaters arms during spins 🧐
Nice. Interesting thing is that Bobby Jones lets the left wrist break down more with a little less forearm rotation while tiger has very little break down on the left wrist and more forearm rotation. Your thoughts on this? Thanks
Great video. It’s interesting how fewer instructors are teaching this these days. One other thing I’ve found over the years is that it seems, to me anyway, that it’s easier to control spin (i.e., not put too much backspin on the ball) and ball flight when you actually release your hands/wrists as opposed to releasing with just your body. It seems that’s been the case for me anyway over the years as I’d experiment with my swing.
Jack Nicholas is the GOAT, just ask Tiger.
Chuck been a RS member for a while and recently having had some back issues last few years RS system seems to be the answer for a back pain free swing as I move into retirement. 2 quick questions 1. Does the post up happen before the hands release the club or same time?2. Are shoulders square at hands release and hips open? Ty
I want to learn how to release for more clubhead speed
Can you use the GOAT code if you’re lead side dominate? Do you have a video on lead side with the GOAT code?
Brilliant analogy of how the bristle moves . Used to be a member of RS back in mid 2000/s. You were the OG of online golf instruction before You tube came along .
Must be some kind of secret. If you compare the tour pro, the weekend golfer, both have the same strength and energy. How does the pro do 300 v. 240? Perhaps not the power, but corrected release.
