Regardless of how you feel about the handicap system, it is the only way Scharff has a chance to compete against pros on this stage. For him to step up to that 2nd shot on 17 and sink that long birdie after watching Sean play that well for 16 holes is incredibly impressive. Nobody was giving him much of a chance after a 5 stroke swing on 16 with Sean. This format is meant to create entertainment for the viewers and if nothing else…it set the stage for a dramatic finish.
I'd like to see a Mo and Sean vs Matt and Brad series. I feel like that would be pretty fair

I think that handicap was a bit over done. Let's face it, Sean was absolutely lights out all day, with Brad right on his heels. Matt is a decent golfer but to get 16 shots in 1 round……….. Great playing by all.
They are on the 18th hold and things have gotten very interesting… 🙂
Brad shot -20 and lost by 4 strokes, and Sean shot -18 and still lost due to the idiotic handicaps they received. Brad would literally have had to have broken the course record there today to have tied Scharff to force a playoff.

On one hand it’s kinda sad to watch Sean and Brad play crazy each day and still lose but on the other hand making them play with the handicap forces it to be a much more competitive round, never seen Matt so focused before.
