The Secret to Hitting Your Driver Dead Straight

By: Meandmygolf | Duration: 00:13:14

Video Description

In this live golf lesson with Nate, we fixed his biggest driving issue – inconsistency off the tee. Nate’s drives were all over the place: hooks, pushes, and a swing that was dropping under the plane.

The breakthrough? Focusing on his finish position. By cleaning up his through swing and finish, Nate quickly started swinging closer to the plane and hitting his driver much straighter.

If you’ve been struggling with your driver – hitting big shapes, missing fairways, or just fighting for consistency this simple move could be the key to straighter, more consistent drives.

Enjoyed this. Quite like seeing lower handicap folks in the videos.
Is the extension and disconnect a reaction to trying to close the quite open clubface he has on downswing?

Hope you enjoyed the video. Sometimes working at the through swing and finish can really make a big change on what you do before impact. What questions do you have about your game? Let us know in the comments below.👇

Can the same principle be applied to iron swings? I tend to pull or hook my iron shots as well as same with driver.

Great to see this video after experimenting with flattening the top ends of my driver swing yesterday. Not nearly as pretty as Nate's, but certainly improved my dispersion! Good one, gents!

great instruction Andy/Piers! so on the release the left wrist is just flat and no compensation with the forearms/wrists? And the idea is just LOW and LEFT?

Ive never seen a follow through like that in my life. Good student – listened and responded when prompted

    Great content.
Please do more videos about the importance of the follow-through and release of the golf club.
I recognized that the majority of golfers that don't see any progress in their game only concentrate on the backswing.
After years of trial and error I figured out that the follow-through and release of the club is much more important to get consistent ball striking.
But I get the feeling that most golf coaches don't talk about that.

9:30 that is exactly how McIlroy releases the club in the top image through impact with his driver. And he’s not bad at golf
