I discovered this cool new device that shows you how to consistently hit your irons like the pro’s. In fact it showed a complete beginner golfer with barely any experience how to properly swing a golf club. It’s incredible, watch the full video here: https://youtu.be/5juGSn1m8ag

How to swing irons in golf

ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If it’s a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.

I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.

We look at 3 things:

3, How to get the correct impact position with driver

and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing

Danny, your videos are phenomenal! Watching your videos has helped me to fix my slice and inconsistent contact with my Driver and my irons. I can’t wait to test this credit card feedback out. Thank you!!

I’am 77 years old, 13 handicap, and have been playing 50 years. Yesterday I lost my swing including the shanks. I watched this video and put a card inside my glove as you described. It worked, hitting 25 balls with 2 or 3 bad shots, I’ve got my swing back. I’ll probably use the card for the next few rounds(not tournament related). Thanks Steve

Hack motion aside, would the idea of the credit card flat lead wrist feel work with the driver? Also, when the lead wrist is flat the trail wrist is cupped. Should that cupped trail wrist get flattened at some point and if so, when should that happen. Thanks. Am rediscovering your channel. And hello from Canada.

This is a great lesson. Extending the lead wrist at the top of the backswing makes it feel like it is increasing radial deviation 👍 but what is actually does is rotate hand and club around the thumbs opening the face.

Hitting down to make a ball go up is counter-intuitive. I find practice whacking weeds in the yard with my 7i really help getting the feeling of whacking down into the ball because there isn’t any ball you are trying to get up into the air. 😊

Danny I can honestly say this drill has really massively improved my ball striking and distance on irons and hybrids using the same swing I’ve had for years. Actually took it to the golf course today … Thank you

Danny do you have a video that shows the whole swing from start to finish? I find that many YouTube videos simply show parts of the swing and what to do or not do for that part and that is fine. However, form me my preference is to see a whole swing and then what I need to focus on if my ball flight doesn’t do what I had intended to do. Many thanks.

I’ve watched 100s of videos but this has been the only clear one.. I got a lesson a year ago and this was what the coach had taught me but I forgot it and lost the muscle memory over time and have been getting frustrated. This video just made my brain click back on again so Hopefullly I can go beat my pops this morning after practicing this pre round today! Amazing tutorial Danny!

Took this one thought with me to the course today and struck my irons and wedges better than ever. 5 shots under handicap and should have been better (wayward driver). Amazingly simple. Thanks.

Yes Danny I’m tall and have not been able to swing full and it’s cupping my hands and I’m fighting to get it fixed without weakening my grip and it’s causing loss of distance and my ball is so inconsistent, this was the drill I needed thank you 🙏

Thanks Danny, one of your best videos ever – this has transformed my ball striking and my swing feels much more controlled, particularly in the transition from back swing to down swing. Also found it really helped with chipping and pitching. Just one thing, why didn't you do this video 5 years ago?? 🤣🤣

I think another one of your videos (from 1-2 years ago) has the ball positioned closer to the middle of sternum? Doesn’t positioning closer to your left foot (as a righty) make you hit up on the ball, like you would want with a driver?

    Great video, Danny.
Question – if I prevent collapse of lead wrist how do I manage to still get proper full back swing?
    Thanks, Jerry

Hi Danny, thank so much for posting your videos and all the good work you put into it. Just wondering if you can help me with my swing. I had 3 lessons recently with a pro bou I still have the issues. The main fault is that I am struggling to stop dropping my wrists in the swing itself, I'm OK with practise shots but poor with the swing itself. Would be very grateful and should I gofer hack motion or an explanar?thanks you kevin

Returned to this vid this morning. Played yesterday for the first time in two years. Driving was ok but irons were terrible. Having seen this again, I’d forgotten ball not forward enough and the feel of compression.
