Gilf tips? Lol
Great vid for the newer golfer!
Tee boxes are typically not flat nor level. I scout the tee box for where I want to stand for best results. And especially par-3 tee boxes tend to get beat up so I try to find a decent spot to tee up. I usually do not tee up right on the line between the markers, but am often a couple feet or more back.
I’ve come from 13 to 9 this season and I put it down to my iron play and short game , I am struggling off the tee this season and still scrambling pars and birdies because of my recovery shots but if I could achieve a lot more fairways in regulation I would score probably 7-8 strokes better per round so this winter my driver is getting all the focus
Not playing enough.
My tee height changes from day to day and how stiff my body is
Good tips Matt
Love these vlogs . Just what I need. Like and subscribe people
My long game is what's keeping me from single digits, so I swear by castle tees and any other little advantage I can get to help with consistency
As a senior golfer with a slower swing speed than most others I was intrigued with the lowering of the Tee. I went from an orange tee down to a white one (both are castellated tees) and after I worked out the ideal ball position for me (close to were my 5 Iron would be) not only did I get an extra 15 to 25 yds I also hit every fairway, and that's a first for me. I am looking forward to your next vid, could you do one on golf balls for a slow swing speed please.
Tee height, i have found teeing higher then i once did, and i hover the driver, this has improved my hitting up on the ball. Distance is so much longer, i hit it straighter and feel free with the swing. Also remember when you adjust loft on the driver, with most drivers it changes the club face either open or closed, higher loft tends to be closed
The loft is so crucial. I'm not a great ball striker and have never been especially long off the tee. I switched to a lighter flex shaft and a 12 degree driver and my driving has never been more consistent. Letting go of pride and playing what's best for you despite your optimal setup being ideal for most seniors (even if I'm younger than 30) might help!
Matt I really struggle with weight transfer to my left side. I have a bad habit to lean towards my toes instead of to the outside of my left foot. Essentially I don’t move my weight laterally. How can I fix that?
I Have made some thoughtful adjustments to my driver loft as my game has evolved! Increasing the loft has help with launch angle and control, especially as swing speed changes. currently my loft is set at 10.75 and still managing to hit the ball between 240-260 yards.
