Josh came to us and told us that “he is trying to tuck his elbow in, in the downswing”. What a lot of golfers don’t realise is that you don’t have to try and do this, you have to try and get your backswing correct with the following tips shown in this video and your downswing will NATURALLY fall into this position on the way down!

A really good backswing drill is the Faldo drill. Or set, then turn to the top. Now, when it comes to the transition/downswing … well I’m a bit lost.

The after is exactly the steepness I get in my swing. I try so hard to get the club lined up with my right forearm at left arm parallel in a downswing but I just can't do it

Didn't really need to be a world class coach to see what was wrong there 😅

Of course the “turn” feels uncomfortable for him! He had virtually ZERO turn before! It probably feels disgusting!

Does it make sense to feel like the hands start to bring the club downward with an underhand throw to eliminate coming over the top?

Never worked with alignment sticks and is a 10 handicap? Take away is good, but the rest? Must be great inside 100 yards. Lucky he gets to play Pebble!

Great stuff fellas. Nothing better as a teacher than seeing those moments where the student gets giggly with excitement.

The instructor is awesome, easy to follow. The guy, Josh, looks like a natural athlete. Hopefully they will have more lessons to show. I’m going to try this.

I call that setup problem the "Double Cross" and I have faught that problem for decades! You could also see that the ball impact immediately improved, because the path of the shoulders/arms and hands were no longer fighting with each other and the low point of the swing arc was in tact.

10 handicap, bro no way. Your short game and putting must be insane. It truthfully, after looking at this you’re at least a 20+

Great tips. I still feel like I’m struggling with distance though. I feel like I have great turn, solid contact, but am just not getting the distance I’m capable of.

Has to be the best lesson I have ever seen – Great point about "keeping free" while making the changes. Would love to get a lesson with you guys. I met your side kick when I was on that range.

There's no way that guy is a 10 with that swing. Imagine golf is like math and he's gotten the answer wrong. These guys just keep telling him that he got the answer wrong but not WHY he got it wrong. Basically, it's, "here's the answer and we can't tell you why." So now he's got a vague feeling of what he needs to do. He will not play well under pressure with just a "feeling."
