Warming Up with Lee Trevino

By: Golf.com | Duration: 00:38:44

Video Description

Lee Trevino. 85 years young. Hitting balls. Talking golf. Warming up. Unfiltered. Dig in!

The six-time major champ joins GOLF’s Dylan Dethier on the range in Punta Mita, Mexico and reminds us why he’s one of the game’s greatest players AND greatest talkers, too. Trevino shows off hooks and fades. He shows a wind-beater and a high, soft one. He explains how to hit a shot that’ll “make the bugs put their helmets on” and why another shot makes him “bring four pairs of underwear”. And he also dives into his unlikely entry to golf, what the game has meant to him and what it still means now.

It’s Warming Up with Lee Trevino. We hope you like it.

Watched him in the flesh back in the early 80's here in the UK. Such control of the ball and the crispness of strike, unbelievable. Talking right up until he hit it and addressing his driver way out on the toe, he hit flat piercing bullets.

Trevino is what professional sports are all about. A serious talent. And maybe even a better entertainer. Well done by Dylan and the rest of the team

He talks like Charles Manson does. Did you always love golf? Lee…That’s all I know. I don’t know anything else. I’ve got no choice. I’ve got no options. I’m not an educated guy. I don’t have a trade.

What a great video. It was like getting a private lesson from one of the greatest players of all time. Lee Trevino is one of the greatest minds in the history of golf. His knowledge of the game and how to actually hit the ball is unparalleled in this day, age and this time. Absolutely one of the greatest ball strikers ever. Whenever I have trouble with my short game, I watch a video of him coaching you on how to hit the short game shots and hold the left hand and swing through the ball. Thank you for all the memories Lee!!!

Love him now that he's 85 but always have. Back then Lee was the "underdog", it took a while to realize he never was, we just didn't know it at the time. So good!

That was a pleasure to watch. I just sit in envy of all the lucky members at Royal oaks that get to listen and watch that on a daily basis. Mr Trevino is a champion for the American dream. Hard work does pay off. Especially when the talent is also present. Cheers everyone.
