By: trottiegolf | Duration: 00:20:08

Video Description

The ultimate launch monitor test is here.

Three Launch Monitors are used consistently on tour. In this video I’m going to offer up front row seats to come along for live testing and comparison of the Full Swing Kit V’s the GC Quad V’s The TrackMan.

This is my third time testing, you’re going to get a blow by blow comparison with a 9 iron, mid iron, long iron and woods.

Special thanks to Twin Oaks Golf Club and Travis Gerrish for making the 18th tee shot our test area. This is a solid vid, I’d love your feedback and as always any questions just fire them in the #comment section.

Wise up will you, pushing a 5k launch monitor ? you need to change the channel to Poshtrottie, bad enough everyone stuffing the latest tech down your throat every 6months, there’s more to playing golf than numbers . Spend 5k on lessons with a decent pro and learn to score. I like the channel but this is a poor sales attempt

Enjoyed the video, would be good if you could do a review/comparison of the more affordable launch monitors for the average golfer. I know they won’t be anywhere near as good as these monitors.

Have used all three monitors fitting people, they are all great. I prefer the quad indoors for an event, TrackMan outdoors for an event, and full swing when switching between the two/personal fittings. We all have preferences. If you are in the market to buy one find out what you value and go from there.

The quad is raw data no calculations. And the stickers need to be putt in the correct place

Always going to be a full swing promo.. however all devices have merit dependent on where they are to be used.. I will say I don’t necessarily trust the data fully and only use it as guide as was lucky enough to do a demo day where trackman and quad were both used and they were put up against a guy with a wheel and a guy with a Bushnell range finder and the wheel and range finder were pretty much the same (being an actual yardage) whereas the trackman and quad both had to have a tolerance built in.. (I think they were around 3% of the actual distance) and this was similar through the different clubs I tried them with.. but for the majority of golfers 3% would mean absolutely nothing and not impact the results needed etc..

How is the spin so high for the 7 and 4 irons? Is that a typo on the screen ? Cant imagine you hit a 4 iron with 6300 spin

Also love the Stevie G reference.

Full swing is not in the same class as TM and GC. Every pro on TGL complained about Full Swing data providing incorrect numbers.

This is literally a 20 min ad for Full Swing from a paid sponsor.

Every real golfer knows that GC Quad is gold standard #1 followed closely by Trackman.

Isn’t Trottie sponsored by full swing ? Trottie put the TM in the spot where the FS was and it will be more accurate. Also I think there is a reason why when you look at a pga tour range you don’t see any “full swings”

This is insulting to the audience. Makes me question this guy’s credibility on everything frankly. Once you shill without disclosure, you’re just another shitty AI bot.

Why not take the obvious next step with this testing and have someone down there with a laser to confirm actual distances

If you want club data, 4-dot mode in a QuadMax will be the most accurate. It wont't be close.
There should be a slight difference in AoA between radar and camera base systems.

However, as a QuadMax user, the stickers are a pain in the butt.

It would have been interesting to see the test done with RCT or TRK-R golf balls.

*Get ready for the anonymous message from Foresight that you need to apply the stickers correctly.

Its a good comparison which highlights how fullswing seems more reliable and solid for out door use and not be put off by other devices near it.

I have used a trackman before and had multiple shots indoors which didn't pick up or read spin properly etc. Which is frustrating.

I feel for indoor fitting and sim use you can't really beat the gcquad much more reliable even with the stickers. I have a gc3 so only need to worry about the one. But my indoor practice marries up with my out door data and rounds so its definitely accrate.

For outside data yeah definitely use a radar-based unit to see how the wind and turf etc affect your shots.

But id say 90% of all fittings are probably indoors on a matt and using a unit which gives you your actual baseline numbers with no outside influences like wind rain bad lie etc is probably the best way.

    Just my thoughts.

I sympathize with how frustrating it mightve been to make this video and then the resulting comments. I think they all have there time and place but it was eye opening to see how misleading the numbers can be at times. Also in the video you said you might lose us if you put the stickers on, my personal opinion is if i clicked on the video im interested in what you have to say or the content of the video, take your time man, you're experienced and your opinion matters.

Jeez, this got heated 😂 I could see some heat coming when I saw the vid subject and knowing your link to FS but objectively FS should win this on the pure value aspect alone vs the other two for the non tour pro/high net worth customer.

As a low life employee here in the Wales it's pretty much the only monitor I could say was remotely within my grasp albeit at the expense of setting fire to my credit card lol!

Don't take it personally trottie, you give a lot back, enjoy a few Sunday evening Stella's following poor Tommy lads disaster in 18 🍻

Love the channel, but the biggest issue with this comparission is picking 2 of the most expensive monitors that the vast majority cant even think about affording. Really want to catch views attention, compare fairly affordable monitors for us general golfers.

Dogging on the quad after giving just as accurate ball numbers but not club data is wild considering there was 0 alignment done with it. It’s easy to align but just saying it’s bad is inaccurate

You should have said you're paid to promote FullSwing, as seen with your Instagram posts. Losing trust in you now Trottie

Go to any range at a big tournament and 90% of pros are using the GCQuad. Nothing is more accurate.

So much side by side fair data. Really enjoyed the comparisons between brands and their tech. Shocked by all these comments!

Hi Trottie, why did TrackMan miss the whole thing? What did you really do? Maybe you intentionally putted the ball outside the detection area of TrackMan, or you set TrackMan to indoor mode, or something interfered with the TrackMan radar. This isn’t a fair test. I know you got paid by Fs, but this is totally trash.

I get the intent of the video – compare a cheaper “premium” alternative to the likes of GC and TM. Problem is, consumers want to know the best affordable option because all three are out of the price range for 99% of golfers. Every golfer would likely have one of these if money were no object, but what makes them more compelling than the Uneekors, Bushnells, Garmins and Rapsodos of the world that can output the same metrics? To frame this as “which one should you buy” and the only options presented include the known gold standards and a $5K launch monitor we know you have an affiliation with comes off as promotional more than anything even if it’s not intended.
